LETS HELP THE NEEDY BUT BRILLIANT STUDENTS TO REDUCE ROBBERY CASES IN THE COUNTRY - Commissioner of Police to Ghanaians


 The Commissioner of Police, Director General of National Protectionism Department, COP Francis Ebenezer Doku has stressed the significant to support brilliant but needy students through education to ensuring they achieve their goals in future.


According to COP, giving them extended hands by way of support will help reduce robbery cases in the country.


Speaking to media, COP Doku stated that Students who are not privilege to education due to financial challenges from parents or guardians often end up engaging in social vices such as arm robbery among others.


"If


we don't help these children out, they are the same people who would robbed us in nearby future at a gun point. Such concern motivated me to set up this fund to help such caliber of people in the area" he added.


He made this call at launch of his foundation named THE ANGMORTEY YOHUNO FOUNDATION (AYF) aimed at giving education to the brilliant but needy students in the Yilo Krobo, Lower Manya Krobo and Upper Manya Krobo districts of Eastern Region.



He further pledge of supporting the fund with 50% of amount received from his retirement package.


Adding to it, *Dr Dr Nene Narh Sibim Tekpertey II* Chief of Manya Aklomoase in the Lower Manya Krobo Municipality stated that, they [chiefs] in the Krobo area will ensure that the foundation which has been setup by the Commissioner of Police achieve its intended purposes in the educational sector.



He concluded by asking for God's blessing into the life of the police officer for such initiative and added that "he has our support as am part of the board."
