The Member of Parliament for Assin Central and also doubles as flagbearer hopeful for the NPP, Hon. Kennedy Agyapong has revealed that, when voted into office as President he will promote technology education and also built technology city in the country.
According to the maverick legislature, the current vice president, Dr. Alhaji Mahamadu Bawumia has done overwhelming well in developing the digital space which is called digitization. So we need to encourage the youth to build a software and sell it across the world and it shouldn't be only Ghana.
He therefore said, there's the need to promote technology first and like I said if you go to city in China called Xinjiang, silicon valley in America are all noted for technology and in Ghana here what city is known for technology so my vision is to build a whole technology city between Cape Coast, Elimina or Komenda and Ada enclave in promoting technology to rest of the world.
He made this revelation at the International Day of Education in Ghana event at the National Theatre in Accra.
Meanwhile, the UN Eminent peace Ambassador and doubles as CEO WOTSIRHP & Afriglobal Groups companies , Wellington Owusu Tabiri also said his outfit will redefine education through entrepreneurship and practical ways not the theory approach.
He however added that, under the Global leadership transformation project which seeks to promote entrepreneurship training in the shortest possible in the Agricultural sector like mushroom farming has boost investors confidence in the country.
