*APPAISTIE DISASTER VICTIMS LAWYER CHARGES THE GHANA POLICE SERVICE TO EXPEDITE THEIR FINDINGS* .


 Lawyer for the Appiastie disaster victims lawyer Nana Obiri  Boahene has charged the Ghana Police Service to expedite their efforts in presenting their findings about the disaster. 


It's a year now since the unfortunate chemical explosion happened at Appiastie a small community in the Prestea Hun Valley district of the Western region of Ghana.


The government of Ghana has not relented in its efforts to rebuild the Appiastie community.




But the worry of most residents is a compensation package for businesses in the community which were affected as a result of the chemical explosion.


Lawyer Nana Obiri Boahene has offered free legal support to ensure that the driver who was driving the explosive and his company are sued to ensure that the compensation package is paid to the victims of Appiastie


Lawyer, Nana Obira Boahen speaking in an interview with the media when he joined the people of Appiastie to commemorate  the year anniversary of he sixteen people who passed away during and after the explosion has appealed to the Ghana police service to expedite effort in presenting their findings about the disaster. According to him, this will go a long way to ensure victims are given the right compensation.


Meanwhile, some residents whose businesses were affected also express the challenges they are going through.
